NBW South Shore Century

I started today's ride at 9:00 and you can see that the roads were still wet in places, from yesterday's storm. It was 61 degree's at the start, cool for this time of year.

I had intentions of doing the 75 mile loop today, but as the day wore on and trying to keep my average above 13 mph,I realized at about mile 35, that wasn't going to happen. So instead I did 62 miles and was able to maintain a 13.4 mph average.

I haven't rode that far in two years and that 13.4mph was a new high for me at that distance. At this time, I'm very happy with the recoup of my back injury.

This bridge is a hi light of this ride, it's pretty cool crossing it on you're bike.

Rod & Jack caught me here at about mile 45.

62 miles is more than enough. I haven't done a century yet and don't see one in my future.

I'm hoping by next year to be back up to doing at least three a year. It's been a long road back from my injury.
