Very Tall Guy

Tiffany is the second from the left.
Barbara's daughter Tiffany and two of her soccer teammates got to have their picture taken with Patrick O'Bryant the other day at Brandeis. He was up there visiting a friend when they spotted him. He played with the Celtic's last year and now is with the Raptor's.

Springtime Rehoboth Ride

I got in a quick 14.5 mile ride after work yesterday afternoon. Flowers are blooming and the grass is turning green everywhere. Springtime is upon us.

NBW Great Grandma's Ride

You would think with a ride title of great grandma's ride that the ride would be easy, WRONG! This was a very hilly ride that had John waiting for me a bunch of times. I had to stop half way up Burlingame rd to give my legs a break. I tried a mount I made up for my camera to take video's as I'm riding and they came out great but upside down. For some reason the camera won't let me rotate the image so I haven't posted them. If I figure it out I'll post them later. We ended up with 51 miles for the day in 90 degree heat.

Warm Weather Already?

Baseball practice.
Cross country runners.

Joggers using the track.

Fridays warm weather felt like a summer ride instead of a spring ride. I got 14.5 miles in.

Veteran Steps Up

Notice the Mexican Flag flying above our American flag.
My hero.

Being a veteran myself, it's these kinds of things that really piss me off. If you want to come into this country legally, fine. But don't go pulling this kind of crap. Click on the link and check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nONjlZ8YMkA

Rehoboth Loop

Brown Ave, getting pretty torn up in some sections from the winter.

I finally got a chance to get back on the bike yesterday and did a short 11.5 mile ride around town. It was warming up but real windy.

PawSox Home Opener

The Army National Guard fire off a bunch of cannon shots.

Huge flag, I love it.

Time to play ball.

Fire and Police Dept. from all over southern MA. and RI. attended.

The Fire Dept. bag pipers were great.

Barbara's son Tim is in the middle.

Barbara standing, her father Dennis and daughter Tiffany.

Friday night Barbara had a bunch of free tickets for the game. It was the home opener and her son Tim is in the Fire Dept. Honor Guard that would be leading out the opening ceremonies. It was a pretty impressive ceremony and McCoy Stadium is a great place to watch a game.

NHRA Southern Nationals

This is what can happen in the Nitro Classes and did at the last race.

The next race in the season heads to Atlanta, GA. this week. It will be on ESPN 2 this weekend.

Rehoboth Loop

After ten days off the bike (for no good reason) I got back on and did my loop around town. The warm weather felt good but a busy weekend will keep me off the bike again.

NBW Hope Valley Western Ride

I thought this stretch of RT 3 heading back to the start was all down hill, WRONG!
After climbing another killer hill, I decided to rest here for five minutes.

Grape vines galore at this winery.

One of the first of many hills today.

My god, can you say hills? I can't recall a ride of this distance (40 miles) with so many hills. The weather was cool and windy at 8:45 when I started, but did warm up to 58 degree's by the end of the ride.

April Showers Bring No Bicycle Riding!

Screw the old saying about bringing May flowers. All April showers do is piss me off because I can't ride. It looks like we're going to have four days in a row or rainy weather, but Sunday looks great right now. Maybe I should put a roof on my bike, like this guy did so I can ride?

The NHRA race schedule moves to Las Vegas this weekend. They have a great facility there and the ET and MPH records could fall. Click on the link to check out the next Full Throttle commercial. http://www.adgabber.com/video/nhra-full-throttle-campaign-4
