After Work Ride

I felt a little better today on this ride. My legs are still weak, but my back didn't bother me which was huge. I got in a couple more miles,I'll be fine as long as I slowly build up my base miles.

Thursday Night Ride

This was my first ride in five weeks. My back has been feeling better so I went for it, the mid 50 degree temps, egged me on too. It didn't take long for me to realize, I have a long way to go, to get back to the fitness level I was at before my injury. Two miles in and I could feel my lower back calling me and soon after my legs gave up. I'll have to be happy with 6 miles for now.

Feeling Better

PT went well last night. They've started me on some core strengthening exercises, now that I'm feeling better. I've still got a long way to go, but I'm hopeful I'm on the mend.

The Results Are In

These two pictures are showing herniated disc's, I have a milder bulging disc.
The leg pain I have is L5,from the bulge pushing on the Sciatic nerve.
I finally got the results from my MRI. I have a level one disc bulge at L5 pushing against the Sciatic nerve for my left leg. The nerve is severely inflamed right now. I'll be talking to my Physical Therapist today about a new game plan. My doctor thinks PT,weight loss and possible Cortisone shots may take care of it.

Celtic's Game

Barbara and I went to the Celtic's game Saturday afternoon. Barbara's a big Celtic fan, so Tiffany and Timmy gave her the tickets for Christmas. The Celtic's won and we got back home just in time to watch the Superbowl.

Time For An MRI

I've been through six weeks of physical therapy and I'm not getting any better. So it's time to get an MRI and see what's wrong in my back. Saturday is the day of my appointment and it will take a couple of days to get the results.
