NBW Taunton/Sharon Ride Repeat

Christmas tree's for sale, the 25th will be here soon.
My second rest stop at 44 miles.

My first rest stop at 25 miles.

This is the biggest hill to climb on the ride, going over RT 495.

I decided to do this ride again yesterday. It's flat and a way to get some good miles in. I started from Barbara's house again at 9:00 and finished 2:00. I ended up with 59 miles for the day.

I drove down to Mashpee Thursday, to spend Thanksgiving with my son, daughter and some of their friends. We all had a great time and enjoyed plenty of great food.

So Long To More Tree's

It's a shame to see more lot's cleared for new homes. I knew this was coming but didn't expect it in this economy. They started clearing the tree's out behind my house last week to make room for a seven house development. Less tree's equal more global warming.

NBW Hope Valley Southern Ride

Just entering the beach area. During the summer, you can't find a parking space on the road.

This house looks out over the beach, what a view.

This guy used the paddle to get back out quicker.

There were quite a few surfers out in the morning.

This ride is only 32 miles, so John worked out an extension for me down to Matunak beach. It added on 12 miles, so I ended up with 44.5 for the day. I had a pretty good headwind once I got onto Post Rd and it was with me all the way to the beach. Coming back wasn't bad but my legs were really feeling it from the 5 days of riding I got in during the week. It was 38 degree's when I started at 8:30 and it warmed up to 55 degree's at the finish at 12:30.

Friday Night Ride

Cross street.
Oakhill Ave.

There were lots of puddles I had to dodge from the earlier rain.

I got my 4th ride in within 5 days this week. I took in a few more streets I haven't been on in a while. Ended up with 17 miles.

After Work Loop

Homestead Ave.

RT 118.

Fairview Ave.

Francis Street.

Back on RT 118.

Tremont Street.

Last night I took in some roads I don't ride on often. It was a nice change, except I forgot about one hill I had to climb on Fairview. Oh well, it warmed me up real quick climbing it and I'm beginning to notice it's getting easier to climb with the weight I've lost already. I ended up with 14.5 miles.

After Work Loop

Jacob Street.

Carpenter Street.

Perryville Road.

I got another ride in after work yesterday. It was cooler out so I wore my balaclava. One thing I love about the Rehoboth area is, I can ride about the same distance every day, but on different roads. All the roads are bicycle friendly, so I can change them up every so often and the rides stay fresh. I ended up with 14.5 miles.

After Work Loop

Cross Street.
Agricultural Ave.

Rocky Hill Road.

Carpenter street.

Perryville Road.

Here's my bike leaning up against my car at the end of the ride. This is what cars see as I'm coming towards them.

I got 14 miles in after work yesterday. The temp. was in the high 50's when I started so I didn't need to add layers.

Tiffany

Tiffany had another great year playing soccer for Brandeis. She ended the season with 9 goals, 6 assists and tied for the team lead in points with 24.She led the UAA Conference only games with 25 shots and led the whole UAA Conference with 81 shots. She also earned UAA Offensive Athlete of the week. She played her heart out and gave 110% as always in the playoffs, despite having a nasty cold throughout them. She did all this and still maintained her excellent honor grades in all her classes. Tiffany's quite the young lady. Click on the link and check out her stats for 2007 and 2008. http://www.brandeisjudges.com/sports/fall/wsoc/2009-10/bios/TiffanyPacheco
