Nitro Time

I took these pictures from our hotel room.

It's Friday morning here in Joliet and we'll be heading out to the track soon. Right now some thunderstorms are going through the area. Hopefully they will drop the temps down some.

Nitro Time!

This weeks race is in Joliet,IL. Check it out on ESPN2 or you can do what I'm doing with some of my family. We're heading out there tomorrow to see all the action in person. That's right, we'll be there breathing in all that wonderful Nitromethane and getting our ear drums blown out from all the noise. Pure ecstasy, orgasmic and woody. I'll be updating my blog daily with pictures and info so stay tuned.

Want It Wednesday,Shimano XT HB-T780,XT FH-T780 Hubs.

These hubs will be my next purchase when I build up a new set of wheels this Fall. I'll be replacing my Ultegra hubs with these, so I'll also have to spread the rear spacing another 5mm on the rear. No problem, my frame is steel. Don't forget to check out Jez Andrews blog here.

NBW Scramble Metric

Saul and Ken.
Mansfield airport.
What a beautiful day for a bike ride, low 80's,low humidity and bright sunny skies.I had a couple of friends join me on the first part of the ride today. Saul rode with me for the first time and Ken, who has rode with me before, also joined us.They did the 27 mile loop and I think they enjoyed it? I ended up doing the 53 mile loop, but I cut off 3 miles so I wouldn't have to go up a big ass hill. I know, hills make you stronger, but I wasn't in the mood today to climb it.

Thursday Night Ride

I made it over just before the bridge opened for a boat.

Pig farm, what a smell!
Beautiful water views.
Turkeys.

Tonight's Thursday group ride started from Ted's house. It was a scorcher out, 94 degree's and the humidity was high. I headed out early so I could get the whole ride in before 8:00. The scenery was spectacular, with very few hills to climb, just the way I like it.
