NBW Providence Bicycle Ride

NBW Providence Bicycle Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

Two years ago when I did this ride for the first time, I said to myself,I would never do it again. Two years later and John and I decided to do it. Boy am I a gluten for punishment. It was just as tough as I remembered it and I still don't think I want to ever do it again.

Instead of detouring around this construction, we climbing up and down it, walking the bikes.

I saw the back of John most of this ride, he had to keep waiting for me at the top of hills.

Fathers Day Ride

Fathers Day Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

John and I only had time for a short ride this morning, we both had commitments later. You can never go wrong with a bike path ride if you start early enough.

Rehoboth/Dighton Ride

Rehoboth/Dighton Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

The club ride today sucks in my opinion, so I decided to do my own ride. It was a perfect day, weather wise, low 80's and sunny to partly cloudy as the day wore on. I started from Barbara's house at 10:00 and headed out. I immediately sensed my legs were stiff and hurting, must have been the three straight hours I was standing, for a fund raiser last night.

After about ten miles, they started to feel better, so I was able to enjoy the ride and not worry if I could do the distance I had planned. As it was, I ended up having to change the route anyway, because of a bridge out on Brook st. Then later in the ride, I took a wrong turn on Ceder st and ended up doing a big loop, which added extra miles.

Check out the spelling on this stone.

NBW Oneco Pond Ride

NBW Oneco Pond Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

This is a very hilly ride, the last time I did it was four years ago and I ended up blowing my back up. Granted, my back was going to go out eventually, this ride just caused it to go out that day. My back has been good, so I decided to try out this ride again.

My intentions were to do the long loop, but between riding solo and climbing hill after hill, I talked myself  into doing the middle loop instead. I'm glad I did too, with less than two miles to go, I got a flat and my legs were shot. So I pulled over, made the tire repair and finished the ride.
