NBW Wachusett 3/4

This is why the roads were closed. Power cables are being buried in the middle of the road.
A view half way down.

Some of the many antenna's on the summit.

Fire tower.

One of the great views at the summit.

There was a picnic table under a shade tree here where I rested.

A view of the summit with a pile of sand in the middle of the road.

I took a breather here on the rocks before I continued up the climb. This is looking down from where I just came up.

The climb up on the main road.

Another view of the climb.

Administration road intersects here at the road on the left.

The gate leading to Administration road.

I brief rest stop before I start the climb.

A sandy, pothole laden Administration road. It was so bad at one point, I had to dismount and walk for about 50 yards.

This was a long hilly ride and then throw in a climb to the summit and you feel like you rode a century. The main roads are closed going to the summit because of construction going on, but I was aware of it earlier in the week so I knew the only way up was going to be via Administration rd. I ended up with 78.5 miles and a new top speed of 46mph. That 46 mph wasn't from the descent of Wachusett, it was from another downhill earlier in the ride.

Rehoboth loop

This time it was a non drive side spoke.

Friday I got my usual after work ride in but cut it short after breaking a spoke. I ended up with 12.5 miles.

The procession begins.

Before we got scorched by the sun, I looked like a lobster later.

Seats beginning to fill up.

It will be Tiffany's turn in two years.

Thats the soccer field were Tim played.

Saturday, Barbara's son Tim, graduated from Franklin Pierce University in NH. It was a beautiful day and Tim made us feel so proud, being able to finish college on time with his fellow classmates, while working full time on the Pawtucket fire dept the last year. Great job Tim!

Shooting Video On Bike

I thought I had the problem solved with my camera mounted on my aero bars. I mounted it side ways instead of upside down and that let me rotate the video image when viewing it in the camera. But when I down loaded it to the computer it was side ways and still unable to rotate the correct way. Looks like I'm going to have to find a way to mount it right side up with out the aero bars getting in the way. The ride wasn't a total loss, I got 14.5 miles in.

Pawtucket Fire Bowling League

Barbara attempts to pick up a spare.
Her son Tim lets one fly, he had high score for one string.

What form and release!

Monday night Barbara joined her fellow fire fighters at the bowling alley. She and three others represented the office team. It was a fun night out and I enjoyed watching them.

Saturday at Fenway

Our view of the game in the bleachers.

Green Monster seats.

More of the Green Monster seats.

Barbara and yours truely.

Fran and Bob.

My brother Bob and his wife Fran were up from Florida, so we decided to go to the Red Sox game on Saturday. We got up there nice and early and found a reasonable parking lot to park at for $25.00, most were getting $50.00! We managed to get into a tour of the park for Red Sox Nation members that was pretty cool. Too bad the Sox got smoked by Tampa Bay.

Rehoboth Loop

Barbara and Bella on their two mile walk.
Who is this coming down the road?

Allens Lane has a few houses on it that has antique tractors on display.

This is the start of a nice down hill on Jacob st.

Yesterday's ride was my first ride in over a week, the weather hasn't been great lately, a lot of rain.
