This was a hard fought win for Brandeis yesterday. Wellesley beat Brandeis last year and playing on grass makes a huge difference when your used to turf. Brandeis has won 7 games in a row now. This Saturday will be another big game for Brandeis against their first UAA conference team.
The new rankings came out today and Brandeis broke into the top 25 Nationally at 18th. This is the first time they've been Nationally ranked since Tiffany has been on the team. They also came in 2nd ranked in New England. Now they have a big bulls eye on their back, every team they play, will be out to knock them out of the top rankings.
This Thursday night my buddy Dennis is treating me to the Roger Waters concert at TD Bank Garden in Boston. He will be doing the Wall, that Pink Floyd came out with 30 years ago. Dennis and I saw the original one in New York. Click on the link to view a song from the Toronto show a few weeks back. The second link is an interview with Roger explaing the Wall concept.
This game was over seven minutes into the game, when we were up 4-0. All the starters came out and the remainder of the team played most of the rest of the game. Tiffany scored another goal to add to her total.
After a 1st half of total domination by Brandeis, the score was 0-0. In the 2nd half Gordon got the 1st goal and put a scare into me. We've lost games like this in the past, when we should have blown out a team. Luckily things fell in place and Brandeis scored 3 unanswered goals, one of them by Tiffany.
I started the ride at 8:30 and it was still pretty cool out,I'm glad I wore a long sleeve jersey. I hit some paving being done about 7 miles into the ride and had to ask a police officer directions, they wiped out our nice white arrows where they paved. It stayed cool for a few hours but I was climbing enough hills to keep me warm. The last hour, I was a little on the warm side, but not that bad.I got back in plenty of time to watch the Patriots game.NBW Diamond Hill #1 Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details
This wasn't the Roger Williams team we've seen in the past, they have always played us tough, but not last night. Brandeis came out strong and never let up. Tiffany scored one goal and three assists. Those three assists moved her up into a tie for 2nd place, for all time assist leader at Brandeis. Her five points last night moved her up into 8th place for all time career points leader. You go girl!
