NBW Wareham/Manomet Ride

NBW Wareham/Manomet Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

I took Friday off from work, so I could do this ride and then head down to my son's house to watch the Pats game that night. I had threatening skies all day, but luckily, never felt a drop of rain.

I had a head wind the whole length of the canal, which really sucked.

No, I didn't pass him, he passed me!

This ride had two places I wanted to check out, first Manomet, my friend John, used to live there back in the mid eighties, before he moved to Vermont. The second was White Horse Beach, my family used to vacation there before I was a teenager, early 60's. It didn't look anything like I remembered it.

Entering Myles Standish State park.

Exiting the park.

Sunday Morning Ride

Sunday Morning Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

Today was perfect riding weather, low 80's, low humidity and bright skies, just the way I like it. I haven't rode in two weeks, so I had no illusions that todays ride was going to be any mega miles. I figured somewhere around thirty miles would be good and I ended up with twenty seven.

I decided to take in a portion of last weeks club ride, starting from Barbara's house. It brought me up to Wheaton College in Norton and then back to Rehoboth.

They finally paved this section of Tremont street, that's been horrible for the last few years.
