I started the day at Barbara's then headed over to my brothers house to see some of my family and have dinner. Then headed back to Barbara's for a couple of hours. It was a great day with great people and great food.

DENTIST

It's time to visit my dentist for a cleaning. At 5:15 today I'll be in a chair getting scraped, stabbed and flossed. Joy, joy.

Tim'sTruck Shopping

Barbara's son Tim, is starting to look around for a new truck. The three of us went out last night to check out the new Dodge Ram's. It's a very sharp looking vehicle, but big bucks. There are some pretty good deals right now on the 2008 left over models, but Tim wants a 2009, so he's going to wait a while to see if any big rebate offers come out next year. In the meantime he'll be able to figure out what options he wants. Can you say Hemi?

TWILIGHT

Barbara and I went out Saturday night, to see the new movie out about vampires, it's called Twilight. We thought it was going to be you're typical vampire movie, it wasn't. It turned out to be a love story and we both enjoyed it. Go see it.

2008 MILEAGE GOAL

The end of the year is quickly approaching and I find myself 227 miles short of my goal for the year. It's going to be close, but I think I can pull it off if the weather cooperates.

The NBW "BRIDGE" Ride

I had plans to do the 50 mile loop of this ride but bailed on it and did the 30 miler instead. It was too cold out there to be on the bike more that 3 or 4 hours. It was 24 degree's when I started at 9:30 and 35 degree's when I finished at 12:30. This ride has some great views but there's also a lot of steep hills to climb, I've done the 50 mile loop before but was surprised to see that the 30 had quite a bit of hills too. High street was a killer that just kept going up. My top speed on one of the down hills was 35mph, I wonder what the wind chill temp was on that?

Bike Journal is almost back up and running at full speed. It's been over two weeks since it crashed from an attack on it's data base. I'd be lost without this web site.

Patriots vs Dolphins

Big divisional game this Sunday. At least it's not blacked out in RI. like the Thursday night game was( damn Cox cable). I may miss some of the first half, I'll be on the weekly club bike ride.

Thursday Night EBBP Ride Review

Eight of us showed up last night to enjoy the cold winter temps. The path was in great shape, with only some leaves to deal with and no slippery spots. We broke up into three groups as the ride progressed and four of us went for food after the ride. The temp was 32 degree's at the start and finish.
