With all the new components I'll be putting on my bike this Winter, I decided to update my brakes too. I'll be replacing my old Avid Shorty 6's with their new and improved version.One of the things I'm hoping it will do, is open up wider when I release the straddle cable, so I can remove and install my wheel easier. Right now their on the tight side with my 35mm Schwalbe's.Don't forget to check out Jez Andrews blog,

Liking the brakes there Paul. This bike of yours is starting to be equipped with some nice kit. Avid Cantis were always some of my favourites. They always felt smooth and gave such crisp braking. Hope the new ones are even better!!!
