Today had all the makings of a great ride, low temps(77) and low humidity. Boy was I wrong, three of my favorite roads in the area, just got chip sealed. Why this town applies this coating to a road that was just repaved within the last year,  blows my mind.

Here's one of the roads with the nasty chip seal applied. Now it will take at least six months before it's rideable again.

Boy was it another scorcher today. I started my ride at 9:30 and it was already 87 out, when I finished it was  93 out. I was thinking of doing the 30 mile loop, but after having to go into my granny gears three times in the first seven miles, I knew 25 was the loop for me.
