| I finally got a chance to ride with John today, with his new bike. It's a Surly Long Haul Trucker and it's beautiful!It worked flawlessly today and John will be used to it in no time. |

| Today's ride was the clubs Diamond Hill two ride and it was hilly, so John had ample opportunity check out all the gearing. |

| We did have a brief shower this morning, but it cleared out in time for our ride. |
