NITRO TIME! NEW ENGLAND STYLE.

It's been two years since we were promised a national event  here in New England and the time has come. Plenty of upgrades have been completed and more are to come over the next few years. Dennis and I have been going to Epping since we were in high school  and we've seen some killer events there. This one though, will be epic and we can't wait to get there. A large group of us are heading up there Friday to catch all the action and get our fill of Nitro.
If you can't be there, the next best thing is watching it on ESPN2.

What a difference in temp's from Sunday's ride. It felt refreshing to ride in the cool,dry air. I think quite a few riders thought so too, because I saw plenty of them out there riding.

It's been about five years since the club has had this ride on its schedule. I remembered very little of it and forgot how hilly it is the first sixteen miles. After climbing for those first sixteen miles, in the 90 degree heat, I was toast. So much for thinking I was going to do the fifty four mile loop,NOT! Quite a few of our other members had the same idea.
