This Is Huge!

NHRA also announced that New England Dragway will join the NHRA member track network in 2011. NHRA is currently working with the track on facility improvements with the goal to bring an NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event to New England Dragway as soon as possible. Given the location of the facility, and NHRA’s well known desire to bring a national event to New England and near the metropolitan Boston market, it promises to be one of the most popular spots on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series tour.

This is great news for all of us in New England, who have had to drive to Englishtown NJ, to see a real national race. Soon we'll be able to watch one at Epping.

NBW Uxbridge Animal Farm Ride

I snaped this while I was taking a break.

There were lots of ridge views on this ride.

This was the northern most point of the ride.

This was one hilly ride! By the time I had rode 10 miles, I had been in my granny gear 5 times. Ouch! It took a while before my legs felt better,but I was in agony the whole ride with all the climbing.

Marshfield Fair

Barbara and I went here Saturday. It was great! They had lots of animals,rides and food,we had a great time.

Taste Of Pawtucket

He was real,people jumped whenever he moved.

Barbara got free tickets to this, so we went Friday night. Local eateries from Pawtucket were giving out free samples of there food. The lines were real unorganized with people cutting in line,it didn't take long before I had had enough. What food I did taste was pretty good.

Thursday Night Ride

We had a great turnout last night for our ride,26 people showed up! All of our participant's loved the ride Barbara and I came up with, we changed up the ride a bit taking in some new streets. Barbara and I did a shorter loop so we could get back to set up the food. Seven pizza's filled everyone up, along with all the other snacks we had.

Rain,Rain,Go Away.

We've had four days of rain now and it's really getting old. It's supposed to clear up for tomorrow,so hopefully the Thursday night ride Barbara and I are hosting will have a big turn out.

Mansfield/Taunton/Rehoboth Ride

I saw yard sales galore today.

I thought these Turkeys would run when I stopped,they didn't.

Good food,cheap.

Lots of new pavement on some roads that were real bad.

More new pavement.

I had plans on doing a metric today,but my legs still aren't fully recovered so I cut it short.

Barbara decided to  join me on this ride,which made my day, I always enjoy riding with her. My legs were sore from moving Tiffany in the day before and finishing my arrowing in the morning. Damn, it takes me so long to recover,not like when I was younger.

New Tires

Ok, so most of you won't get all warm and fuzzy over a set of new tires, but these are state of the art for bicycles. Their Schwalbe Dureme tires with all kinds of high tech fabric's built into them. For what they cost, I better get at least 4,000 miles out of them. Starting mileage for these are 2,407 miles on 8/19/2010.
